When worry is loud: verses for money, work and tomorrow

Prices keep going up. Work feels less certain with AI in the picture. The news does not stop, and some nights you lie awake doing the math. These fourteen passages speak to that kind of worry, and they are worth having by heart before the next hard night. Learn them in this order, one at a time: open each one, hide the words a quarter at a time until you can say it, then add it to your review box so it keeps coming back.

Money and prices

  1. 4

    “Prices keep going up.”

    Matthew 6:31-34

“Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

  2. 5

    “There is never enough money.”

  3. 6

    Philippians 4:11-13

Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

It won’t cease from yielding fruit.

  5. 8

How to learn the path

Start with 1 Peter 5:7, the shortest. When a passage has moved up to box 3 in your review box, add the next one, and keep saying whatever is due. On a hard day, go straight to the step that names it; the order is for learning, and any step can be the one you need first.

The passages are from the World English Bible. Each has its own page with notes on why it is worth knowing and the passage around it.
